A required first step in all white paper projects is a white paper plan. This is a separate deliverable that you receive before creating the full document. And the good news is you’re under no obligation to hire me to write your white paper after you receive the plan. Your plan will be detailed enough so you can create the full project in-house, or outsource it to another writer. White paper plan details can be found here.
The plan starts with a 60 minute kick-off call to gather all necessary details. Once the plan is finished, we schedule interviews, one with a subject matter expert, and a 2nd interview with a sales rep. Then, I get to work on researching and writing the white paper. I’ll keep you updated regularly throughout the process. The white paper plan ensures that everyone is on the same page, but 2 complete rounds of revisions are still provided, if necessary.
